Backup and active archiving

OBS provides persistent, scalable, and secure solutions to back up and archive critical user data. Users can protect stored data by using the version control function of OBS. Persistent and secure infrastructure supports third-party backup and archiving software and aims to provide robust disaster recovery solutions with advanced data protection.

The performance and configuration requirements in this scenario are as follows:

  • Performance density: 5.9 Mbit/s per TB.
  • Typical configuration: RH5288 V3 as backend servers, 3–20 nodes in a single cluster, and 35 x 8 TB SATA disks and one 600 GB SSD for a single node; The maximum input bandwidth and the maximum output bandwidth of a single cluster are 3000 MB/s and 2400 MB/s, respectively. The physical capacity is 840 TB, and the available capacity is 503 TB.
