Virtual Private Cloud
A Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) provides an isolated virtual network for instances. You can configure and manage the network as required. The VPC helps improve the security of your resources and simplify network deployment. In this document, an instance can be an Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) or Bare Metal Server (BMS).
You can specify IP address ranges, create subnets, customize security groups, and configure route tables and gateways in a VPC. This enables you to conveniently manage and configure the network and rapidly and securely modify network configurations. You can configure multiple security layers by using security groups and firewalls to strengthen access control over instances in subnets of a VPC. For a security group, you can configure its intra-group and inter-group access rules for instances in subnets.
