Starting the Database

Starting the Database

This section describes how to start a database.

Prerequisites

A database instance exists.

Context

  • If master and slave databases are deployed, start databases on the master database node and then databases on the slave database node.
  • The following procedure uses the MySQL database instance ossdbsvr-103-2 as an example to describe how to start a database.

Procedure

  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the node where the master database instance resides using the IP address of that node.

    NOTE:

You can log in to the ManageOne deployment plane and choose Deployment > Database > RDBMS to view the IP address of the node where the master database instance resides.

Default account: sopuser; default password: D4I$awOD7k

  2. Run the following command to switch to the ossadm user:

    su - ossadm

    The default password is ZJE%JLq5qx.

  3. Run the following command to start the MySQL database:

    cd /opt/oss/manager/agent/container/mysql/bin/

    ./start_mysql.sh /opt/mysql/data/ossdbsvr-103-2

    NOTE:

This command can only start the database instance on this node.

  4. Run the following command to start the Redis database:

    cd /opt/oss/manager/agent/container/redis/bin

    ./start_redis.sh /opt/redis/data/FMServicedbsvr-1386-0@1387-0

    NOTE:

This command can only start the database instance on this node.
