Storage Exception

Symptom

The storage is abnormal.

Possible Causes

The CSMS service is abnormal when you attach or detach storage.

Troubleshooting Method

  1. Log in to the IaaS layer.

    1. Use PuTTY to log in to the om_core1_ip node.

      The default username is paas, and the default password is QAZ2wsx@123!.

    2. Run the following command to open the correct file based on the networking mode:

      vi /var/paas/bootstrap/workdir/FusionStage-Solution-Version Number /mode/MicroHA/config.yaml

    3. Query the value of fs_host_ip to obtain the address of the IaaS layer.
    4. Run the :q! command to exit the file.
    5. Run the following command to log in to the IaaS layer:

      ssh fsp@Address of the IaaS layer

    6. Switch to user root:

      su root

    7. Run the following command to import environment variables.

      source set_env

      1. Enter 1 and press Enter.
      2. Enter the password and press Enter.
        If information similar to the following is displayed, the environment variables are successfully imported.
        C2120562-7192-E611-A03C-203DB2629FFA:/home/fsp # source set_env
         please choose environment variable which you want to import:
         (1) openstack environment variable (keystone v3)
         (2) cps environment variable
         (3) openstack environment variable legacy (keystone v2)
         (4) openstack environment variable of cloud_admin (keystone v3)
         please choose:[1|2|3|4]1
        
         OS_USERNAME: dc0_admin
         Enter OS_PASSWORD=

  2. Run the following command to query details about the abnormal storage.

    cinder list --all-tenant|grep pvc-11e7507d-9922-11e8-aa40-0255ac100a42

    pvc-11e7507d-9922-11e8-aa40-0255ac100a42 indicates the name of the abnormal storage.

    The command output shows that the value of volume_id of the storage is dc9c0256-d21a-47fe-8d43-08fa122e4064.

  3. Query the volume attachment information based on the volume ID obtained in 2.

    cinder show dc9c0256-d21a-47fe-8d43-08fa122e4064

    Obtain the value of server_id, for example, 7cafb3f6-9033-4d83-b83f-f1004bdd7db8.

    NOTE:

    If the value of attachements does not contain server_id, directly go to 5.

  4. Run the nova volume-detach <server_id> < volume_id > command to detach the volume:

    nova volume-detach 7cafb3f6-9033-4d83-b83f-f1004bdd7db8 dc9c0256-d21a-47fe-8d43-08fa122e4064

    Run the following command to query the status of the abnormal storage:

    cinder list --all-tenant|grep pvc-11e7507d-9922-11e8-aa40-0255ac100a42

    pvc-11e7507d-9922-11e8-aa40-0255ac100a42 indicates the name of the abnormal storage.

    If available is displayed as shown in the red box, the detachment is successful.

  5. Run the following command to delete the storage after ensuring that the volume is not used.

    cinder delete dc9c0256-d21a-47fe-8d43-08fa122e4064

    Exercise caution when deleting the storage, because deleting the storage may cause data lose. If the storage is not deleted, contact technical support for assistance. to handle the storage exception.

  6. Check whether the deletion is successful.

    1. Refresh the storage page and check whether the abnormal storage is deleted.
    2. Run the following command to check whether the abnormal storage is deleted at the IaaS layer:

      cinder show dc9c0256-d21a-47fe-8d43-08fa122e4064

      Information similar to the following is displayed.
      ERROR:NO volume with a name or ID of dc9c0256-d21a-47fe-8d43-08fa122e4064 exists.
