elb_nginx Node Fault

elb_nginx Node Fault

Symptom

The elb_nginx node becomes faulty, and services on the HTTP data plane are unavailable.

Possible Causes

  • A Nginx process exception occurs.
  • Configuration files on elb_nginx nodes are inconsistent.

Procedure

  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the netcluster_elb_nginx_1_01 node.

    The default username is elb and the default password is cnp200@HW.

  2. Run the following command to check whether the Nginx process is running properly:

    ps -ef|grep nginx

    • If yes, the following information is displayed. Go to 4.
      [elb@localhost elb]# ps -ef|grep nginx
      elb 6288 1 0 Feb02 ? 00:00:00 nginx: master process /usr/local/NSP/sbin/nginx
      elb 6291 6288 0 Feb02 ? 00:00:00 nginx: worker process
      elb 6292 6288 0 Feb02 ? 00:01:57 nginx: worker process
      elb 6293 6288 0 Feb02 ? 00:01:58 nginx: worker process
      elb 6294 6288 0 Feb02 ? 00:01:59 nginx: worker process
      elb 6295 6288 0 Feb02 ? 00:01:58 nginx: worker process
      elb 6296 6288 0 Feb02 ? 00:02:00 nginx: worker process
      elb 6297 6288 0 Feb02 ? 00:02:02 nginx: worker process
      elb 6298 6288 0 Feb02 ? 00:02:00 nginx: worker process
      root 180671 156593 0 14:57 pts/1 00:00:00 grep --color=auto nginx
    • If no, go to 3.

  3. Run the following command to start the Nginx process:

    /usr/local/NSP/sbin/nginx

  4. Use PuTTY to log in to the netcluster_elb_lvs_vm_1_01 node.

    The default username is elb and the default password is cnp200@HW.

  5. Run the following command to check whether the data plane network communication between the elb_lvs and elb_nginx nodes is normal.

    sudo ipvsadm -Ln |grep {nginx_ip}

    If the following information is displayed, the communication is normal.

    [root@Redhat9 lua]# ipvsadm -Ln|grep 192.168.0.10
    -> 192.168.0.10:1025            Route   6      0

  6. Log in to the netcluster_elb_nginx_vm_1_02 node and perform 2.
