Redeploying Services on the Faulty Node

Procedure

  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the faulty node as user sopuser. For details about how to view the faulty node, see 17.

    The default password is D4I$awOD7k.

  2. Run the following command to switch to the root user:

    su - root

    The default password is Changeme_123.

  3. Run the following commands to check whether the soft link exists:

    ls -l /var/log/oss

    ls -l /var/share/oss

    If the following information is displayed, the soft link exists:

    /var/log/oss -> /opt/log/oss
    /var/share/oss -> /opt/share
    • If yes, perform 5 to 8.
    • If no, perform 4 to 8.

  4. Perform the following operations to create a soft link:

    1. Run the following commands to check whether the oss directory exists:

      cd /var/log/

      ll |grep oss
      • If yes, run the following command to move the oss directory to the bak directory and then perform 4.b:

        mv oss oss_bak

      • If no, perform 4.b.
    1. Run following command to create a log soft link:

      ln -sf /opt/log/oss /var/log/oss

    2. Run the following commands to check whether the share directory exists:

      cd /var

      ll |grep share
      • If yes, perform 4.d.
      • If no, run the following commands to create the share directory and then perform 4.d:

        mkdir -p /var/share

        chmod 755 /var/share

    1. Run the following commands to check whether the oss directory exists in the share directory:

      cd /var/share

      ll |grep oss
      • If yes, run the following command to move the oss directory to the bak directory and then perform 4.e:

        mv oss oss_bak

      • If no, perform 4.e.
    2. Run following command to create a share soft link:

      ln -sf /opt/share /var/share/oss

  5. Run the following command to switch to the ossadm user:

    su ossadm

  6. Run the following commands to restore the temporary file directory:

    . /opt/oss/manager/bin/engr_profile.sh

    cd /opt/oss/manager/agent/rtsp/mccommon/tools/shscript

    sh ossrunpy.sh TroubleRecoveryMgmt recreateDirectories

  7. Run the following commands to start the microservices:

    cd /opt/oss/manager/agent/bin

    . engr_profile.sh

    ipmc_adm -cmd stopnode

    ipmc_adm -cmd startnode

  8. Run the following command to log out of user ossadm:

    exit
