Service Node Faults

Service Node Faults

The ARS Console Is Blank

Symptom

When a user logs in to the ManageOne operation plane and accesses the Application Recognition Service (ARS) Console, the page is blank.

Possible Causes

The Tomcat process of the SCC-Console node is abnormal.

Procedure
  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the FusionGuard-Console-FusionGuard01 management VM using the IP address corresponding to SCC-Console01.

Default username: sccadmin; default password: Scloud12#$

  2. Run the following command and enter the password Cloud12#$ of user root to switch to the root user:

    sudo su - root

  3. Run the following command to disable user logout upon system timeout:

    TMOUT=0

  4. Run the following command to check the Tomcat process running status:

    ps -ef | grep tomcat

The Tomcat process is running properly if information similar to Figure 18-1 is displayed.

Figure 18-1 Tomcat process running properly

  5. Repeat 4 to check whether the Tomcat process status changes.

    • If the Tomcat process is stopped, run the following commands to restart the Tomcat and sysmonitor processes, and proceed to 6:
      • systemctl start systemd-tomcat
      • systemctl restart sysmonitor
    • If Tomcat process is repeatedly restarted, run the following command to view the Tomcat process log and contact technical support for assistance.

      tail -300f /opt/tomcat/logs/catalina.out

  6. Use a browser to log in to the ManageOne operation plane as a VDC administrator or VDC operator.

Login address: https://Domain name for accessing the console home page. Example: https://console.type.com.

  7. Select a region and a project from the drop-down box in the upper left corner of the page.
  8. Check whether the ARS service can be accessed.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, contact technical support for assistance.

The "Background maintenance is in progress. Please try again later." Message Is Displayed on the ARS Console

Symptom

When a user logs in to the ManageOne operation plane and accesses the Application Recognition Service (ARS) Console, the page displays "Background maintenance is in progress. Please try again later."

Possible Causes
  • The Nginx process of the SCC-LB node is stopped abnormally.
  • The Tomcat process of the SCC-Service node is stopped abnormally.
  • The GaussDB process of the SCC-DB node is abnormal.
Procedure
  1. Log in to the SCC-LB node and check whether the Nginx process is normal.

    1. Use PuTTY to log in to the SCC-LB-FusionGuard01 management VM using the IP address corresponding to SCC-LB01.

Default username: sccadmin; default password: Scloud12#$

    2. Run the following command and enter the password Cloud12#$ of user root to switch to the root user:

      sudo su - root

    3. Run the following command to disable user logout upon system timeout:

      TMOUT=0

    4. Run the following command to check whether the Nginx process is normal:

      ps -ef | grep nginx

If the Nginx process is normal, the following is displayed:

      • If yes, go to 2.
      • If no, go to 1.e.
    1. Run the following command to restart the Nginx process:

      service nginxd start

    2. Use a browser to log in to the ManageOne operation plane as a VDC administrator or VDC operator.

Login address: https://Domain name for accessing the console home page. Example: https://console.type.com.

    3. Select a region and a project from the drop-down box in the upper left corner of the page.
    4. Check whether the ARS service can be accessed.
      • If yes, no further action is required.
      • If no, go to 2.

  2. Log in to the SCC-Service node and check whether the Tomcat process is normal.

    1. Use PuTTY to log in to the SCC-Service-FusionGuard01 management VM using the IP address corresponding to SCC-Service01.

Default username: sccadmin; default password: Scloud12#$

    2. Run the following command and enter the password Cloud12#$ of user root to switch to the root user:

      sudo su - root

    3. Run the following command to disable user logout upon system timeout:

      TMOUT=0

    4. Run the following command to check the Tomcat process running status:

      ps -ef | grep tomcat

If the Tomcat process is normal, the following is displayed:

      • If yes, go to 3.
      • If no, go to 2.e.
    5. Run the following commands to restart the Tomcat process:
      • systemctl start systemd-tomcat
      • systemctl restart sysmonitor

      • If no, go to 3.

  3. Log in to the SCC-DB node and check whether the GaussDB process is normal.

    1. Use PuTTY to log in to the SCC-Service-FusionGuard01 management VM using the IP address corresponding to SCC-Service01.

Default username: sccadmin; default password: Scloud12#$

    2. Run the following command and enter the password Cloud12#$ of user root to switch to the root user:

      su dbadmin

    4. Run the following command to disable user logout upon system timeout:

      TMOUT=0

    5. Run the following command to check whether the GaussDB process is normal:

      ps -ef | grep gaussdb

      • If yes, go to 3.f.
      • If no, contact technical support for assistance.

If the GaussDB process is running properly, the following information is displayed:

    6. Run the following command on the active node to restart the GaussDB process:

      gs_ctl restart -M primary

    7. Run the following command on the standby node to restart the GaussDB process:

      gs_ctl restart -M standby

    8. Use a browser to log in to the ManageOne operation plane as a VDC administrator or VDC operator.

Login address: https://Domain name for accessing the console home page. Example: https://console.type.com.
