ER Server Exceptions in the OM Zone

ER Server Exceptions in the OM Zone

Symptom

The ER server in the OM zone is unavailable. The virtual IP address (VIP) of OM-Core01 and OM-Core02 are lost.

Troubleshooting

  1. Log in to OM-Core01 as the paas user.
  2. Run the following commands to cancel ER server verification:

    cd /var/paas/srv/keepalived

    mv bin bin_bak

    Wait about 2 minutes until the virtual IP address of OM-Core01 is restored.

  3. Run the following command to check that the virtual IP address of OM-Core01 has been restored:

    ip a |grep {virtual IP address of OM-Core01}

    If the virtual IP address is displayed in the command output, the virtual IP address has been restored.

  4. Log in to OM-Core02 as the paas user. Repeat 2 through 3 for OM-Core02.

    NOTE:

    If the command of either OM-Core01 or OM-Core02 returns a virtual IP address, the problem has been resolved.
