Obtaining Database Information

Obtaining Database Information

This section describes how to obtain the database information.

Prerequisites

A database instance exists.

Context

  • You can use the dbsvc_adm tool to obtain database information. This tool is saved in the opt/oss/manager/apps/DataMgmtService/bin/dbsvc_adm directory.
  • The following procedure uses the MySQL database instance ossdbsvr-103-0 as an example to describe how to obtain the database information.

Procedure

  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the node where the master database instance resides using the IP address of that node.

    NOTE:

You can log in to the ManageOne deployment plane and choose Deployment > Database > RDBMS to view the IP address of the node where the master database instance resides.

Default account: sopuser; default password: D4I$awOD7k

  2. Run the following command to switch to the dbuser user:

    su - dbuser

    The default password is Y7xohbheY!.

  3. Navigate to the /opt/mysql/data/ directory and query the database instance ID on the node.

    cd /opt/mysql/data/

    ll

    The following information is displayed:

    drwx------. 74 dbuser dbgroup 4096 Jan 24 16:52 admindbsvr-8-0
    drwx------. 18 dbuser dbgroup 4096 Jan 24 13:49 tenantdbsvr-8-31

admindbsvr-8-0 and tenantdbsvr-8-31 refer to the instance IDs.

  4. Use PuTTY to log in to the active node of the ManageOne deployment plane as the sopuser user. For details about how to determine the active node, see Determine the Active and Standby Nodes of the Deployment System.

    The default password is D4I$awOD7k.

  5. Run the following command to switch to the ossadm user:

    su - ossadm

    The default password is ZJE%JLq5qx.

  6. Run the following commands to query the database instance information:

    cd /opt/oss/manager/apps/DataMgmtService/bin

    ./dbsvc_adm -cmd query-db-instance

    The following information is displayed:

DBInstanceId ClassId Service Name Region Tenant Stage IP Port State DBType Version Role Rpl Status MasterID GuardMode DataCheckSum
