An Alarm Fails to Be Reported

An Alarm Fails to Be Reported

No FusionInsight HD alarm is displayed on the ManageOne OM plane.

Possible Causes

The DNS client embedded in FIMAS fails to parse the domain name of the ManageOne OM plane for receiving alarms.

Locating Method

  1. Use PuTTY to log in to the FIMAS01 management VM.

The default username is fimas, and the default password is Huawei@123.

  2. Run the following command to disable user logout upon session timeout:

  3. Run the following command to check whether the current VM is the primary one:

    service had query

    • If the command output contains "Primary", the current VM is the primary one.
    • If the command output does not contain "Primary", the current VM is the standby one. Repeat 1 to 2 to log in to the management VM FIMAS02.

  4. Check background logs.

    cd /home/fimas/FIMAS/fimas-tomcat/logs/fimaslogs

    vi runtime.log

If the log file contains the following information, the DNS client fails to resolve the domain name, and the alarm fails to be reported to the ManageOne OM plane:
Parsing domain names by first dns server fail.

  5. Change the domain name on the ManageOne OM plane for receiving alarms to an IP address.

    1. Log in to the ManageOne O&M plane and choose System > Access Management > Driver Life Cycle Management > Configuration Management. Record the IP address.

    2. Open the fimas-config file. Find the configuration information about manageone_oc_snmp_ip. Replace the domain name with the IP address queried in 2.1.

      cd /home/fimas/FIMAS/fimas-tomcat/webapps/fimas/WEB-INF/classes

    3. Stop the FIMAS process.

      kill -9 {id}

    4. Run the following commands to start the Tomcat process:

Fault Rectification

The alarm is reported successfully.
