backup-access
Usage Guidelines
Usage Scenario
In AC backup scenarios, a backup AC IP address is configured so that APs can establish CAPWAP tunnels to the backup AC if they fail to establish CAPWAP tunnels to the primary AC.
Prerequisites
The IPv6 function on CAPWAP tunnels has been enabled using the capwap ipv6 enable command.
Precautions
- The configurations of primary-access and backup-access take effect only if both the commands are run to configure different IP addresses.
- If the versions of primary-access and backup-access IP addresses are different, the backup configuration does not take effect.
- primary-access and backup-access cannot be configured with priority or protect-ac.
- It is not recommended that primary-access and backup-access be configured with ac protect protect-ac or ac protect priority.
- The configuration takes effect only after the AP is restarted.
- The IP addresses specified by primary-access and backup-access must be configured the same as CAPWAP source IP addresses. If the IP addresses specified by primary-access and backup-access are different from the CAPWAP source IP addresses used by APs, the IP addresses specified by primary-access and backup-access can be used only for wireless configuration synchronization, but not for primary and backup AC selection. If the CAPWAP source addresses have been translated using NAT, set the primary-access and backup-access IP addresses to the translated addresses.
