Usage Scenario
In a headquarters-branch scenario, APs are connected to an AC across an unstable wide area network (WAN). In this case, you can deploy the WAN authentication escape solution. After the CAPWAP tunnels between the AC and APs are disconnected, the user authentication and roaming functions are provided by the local APs.
In WAN authentication escape scenarios, add APs to a branch AP group and configure WAN authentication escape for the branch AP group. The configuration takes effect for all the APs in the branch AP group.
Precautions
- A maximum of 50 APs can be added to a branch AP group.
- An AP will restart after being added to a branch AP group. Therefore, exercise caution when performing this operation.
