Function

The binding command binds an instance to a performance statistics collection task.

The undo binding command unbinds an instance from a performance statistics collection task.

By default, no instance is bound to a performance statistics collection task.

Format

binding instance-type instance-type { all | instance instance-name }

undo binding instance-type instance-type { all | instance instance-name }

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
instance-type instance-type

Specifies the type of an instance bound to a performance statistics collection task.
The enumerated values include:

  • wlan-ap: Collects statistics on an AP.

  • wlan-radio: Collects statistics on an AP radio.

  • wlan-ssid: Collects statistics on a service set bound to a specific AP radio.

  • wlan-wired-port: Collects statistics on an AP's wired interface.

Specifies the all instances.

instance instance-name

Specifies the name of an instance of a specific type.
The value is a string of 1 to 255 case-insensitive characters.

  • When instance-type is set to wlan-ap, the value of instance-name is ap-mac in H-H-H format. An H is a hexadecimal number of 4 digits. For example, 1047-80af-81e0 indicates the AP with the MAC address 1047-80af-81e0.

  • When instance-type is set to wlan-radio, the value of instance-name is ap-mac.radio id. For example, 1047-80af-81e0.1 indicates radio 1 of the AP with the MAC address 1047-80af-81e0.

  • When instance-type is set to wlan-ssid, the value of instance-name is ap-mac.radio id.SSID name length.ASCII character corresponding the SSID. For example, 1047-80af-81e0.0.5.98.99.100.101.102 indicates the SSID named bcdef with the name length 5 of radio 0 of the AP with the MAC address 1047-80af-81e0.

  • When instance-type is set to wlan-wired-port, the value of instance-name is ap-mac.interface type*100+interface number. For example, 1047-80af-81e0.101 indicates the FE interface of the AP with the MAC address 1047-80af-81e0. The value 1 indicates an FE interface and 2 indicates a GE interface. The interface number ranges from 0 to 99.

NOTE:
ap-mac, radio-id, SSID, and interface number must exist on the device.

Usage Guidelines

After you bind an instance to a performance statistics collection task, the system collects performance data of the instance. Multiple instances can be bound to a performance statistics collection task.

Example

# Bind the instance that collects statistics on the AP with the MAC address 1047-80af-81e0 to the statistics collection task task1.
