local-user device-type
Function
The local-user device-type command configures the type of terminals allowed to access the network.
The undo local-user device-type command deletes the type of terminals allowed to access the network.
By default, the type of terminals allowed to access the network is not configured.
Parameters

user-name | Specifies the name of a local user. When querying and modifying the user account, you can use the wildcard *, for example, *@isp, user@*, and *@*. |
The value is a string of 1 to 64 characters. It cannot contain spaces, asterisk,
double quotation mark and question mark.
NOTE:
During local authentication or authorization, run the authentication-mode { local | local-case } or authorization-mode { local | local-case } command to configure case sensitivity for user names. If the parameter is set to local, user names are case-insensitive. If the parameter is set to local-case, user names are case-sensitive. Note the following when configuring case sensitivity for user names:

device-type | Specifies a terminal type. | The value is a string of 1 to 31 case-insensitive characters without spaces. |
Usage Guidelines
You can run the local-user device-type command to configure the type of terminals allowed to access the network. In local authentication and authorization, the device checks whether a terminal is allowed to access the network. If so, the device checks the user name and password of the terminal.
