Usage Guidelines
Usage Scenario
You can run this command to configure the fast Portal authentication function so that offline Portal authentication users do not need to enter their user names and passwords again when they go online again. If the fast Portal authentication function is enabled when a wireless user associates with the access authentication point and establishes a pre-connection, the device allows HTTP packets from the user to pass through temporarily, and sends a query request of the user to the Portal server. If the user has gone online within the period set on the Portal server, the Portal server sends a user authentication request. If the user has not gone online within the period set on the Portal server, the device does not allow HTTP packets from the user to pass through, and a page is displayed on the user terminal, requiring the user to manually enter the user name and password for authentication. If the user goes offline and then goes online again, the user can pass authentication without entering the user name and password, improving user experience.
Precautions
Only external Portal servers supporting fast authentication support this function.
