pnp startup-vlan send enable
Function
The pnp startup-vlan send enable command enables the AC to transparently transmit the PnP VLAN to downstream devices.
The undo pnp startup-vlan send enable command disables the AC from transparently transmitting the PnP VLAN to downstream devices.
By default, the AC is disabled from transparently transmitting the PNP VLAN to downstream devices.
Usage Guidelines
For higher network security, the management VLAN is typically planned for forwarding management packets between network devices. If the management VLAN of the upstream device is not VLAN 1, the AC can obtain the PnP VLAN from the upstream device. The PnP VLAN allows for communication with the upstream device, implementing PnP. You can run the pnp startup-vlan send enable command to enable the local device to transparently transmit the PnP VLAN to downstream devices. If downstream devices use another PnP VLAN, run the pnp startup-vlan vlanid command on the device to specify another VLAN.
Before PnP VLAN negotiation, run the lldp tlv-enable legacy-tlv pnp command to enable LLDP packets to carry the PnP TLV that transmits the PnP VLAN.
- The PnP VLAN is automatically allowed on the network interface, without manual intervention.
