traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression rate-threshold (system view)

traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression rate-threshold (system view)

Function

The traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression rate-threshold command sets a global rate threshold of multicast and broadcast packets on an AP.

The traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression rate-threshold command restores the default global rate threshold of multicast and broadcast packets on an AP.

The default rate threshold is 256 pps.

The AD9431DN-24X does not support this function.

Format

traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression { arp | dhcp | dhcpv6 | igmp | mdns | nd | other-broadcast | other-multicast } rate-threshold threshold-value

undo traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression { arp | dhcp | dhcpv6 | igmp | mdns | nd | other-broadcast | other-multicast } rate-threshold

Parameters

Usage Guidelines

Global rate limit for multicast and broadcast packets has been enabled using the undo traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression disable command.

The rate threshold specified using the traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression rate-threshold command will overwrite the default rate threshold. The actual rate of broadcast packets or IGMP multicast packets on an AP does not exceed the specified rate threshold. If a large rate threshold is specified, the network cannot be protected. If a small rate threshold is specified, packet loss may occur. In most cases, use the default rate threshold unless otherwise specified.

Example

# Set the rate threshold of ARP broadcast packets to 300 pps.
