The display fan command displays the fan status.

Only the AD9431DN-24X and AD9430DN-24 support this command.


display fan [ slot slot-id | verbose ]





slot slot-id

Specifies the slot ID of the device.

The value of slot-id depends on the running fan.


Displays detailed status information about the fan.

Usage Guidelines

Devices can run properly when fans are working properly. If proper heat dissipation cannot be ensured for devices, devices may overheat, damaging the hardware. You can use the display fan command to view the fan status.


# Display the fan status of the device.

<Huawei> display fan
Slot 0: Fan 1 is normal.
If no fan is installed, the following information is displayed: Slot 0: Fan 0 is absent.

# Display detailed status information about the fan.

Item Description


Slot ID of the device.


Fan ID.


Fan status. The value can be Normal or Abnormal.

Speed Rate

Ratio of the current fan speed to the full speed.


Working mode of a fan.
  • AUTO

Airflow Direction

Airflow direction of the fan.
  • Back-to-Side: The fan is blowing air from the rear to the sides.
  • Side-to-Back: The fan is blowing air from the sides to rear.
  • Side-to-Side: The fan is blowing air from one side to another side.
