address-mode (AP view)


The address-mode command sets the mode in which an RU obtains an IP address.

The undo address-mode command restores the default mode in which an RU obtains an IP address.

By default, the mode in which an RU obtains an IP address is not configured.


address-mode { dhcp | static }

Parameter Description Value
dhcp Indicates that an IP address is obtained in DHCP mode. The RU functions as a DHCP client and is assigned an IP address by the DHCP server. -
static Indicates that a static IP address is obtained. The RU must be configured with a static IP address. -

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

You can run the address-mode command to configure an RU to obtain an IP address in DHCP or static mode.


After the configuration is delivered, restart the APs to make the configuration take effect.
