Usage Guidelines
Usage Scenario
After an RU (DHCP client) obtains an IP address through DHCP, this function enables the DHCP Discover and DHCP Request packets sent by the RU to carry the Option 12 field. The Option 12 field can contain the RU type, MAC address or the RU name. After the RU obtains an IP address through DHCP, you can check information about the RU with this IP address on the DHCP server that supports display of DHCP client host information.
Precautions
This function is valid only for the RUs that obtain IP addresses through DHCP.
