The protocol command adds the IPS signature of the specified protocol to an IPS signature filter.

The undo protocol command deletes the specified protocol from the filtering condition.

undo protocol { protocol-name &<1-10> | all }


Parameter Description Value
protocol-name &<1-10>

Specifies the protocol name. &<1-10> indicates that a command can have 1 to 10 such parameter values.



Indicates all protocols.

Usage Guidelines

No default protocol is specified in the IPS signature filter.

You can add signatures of a maximum of 10 protocols to the signature filter at a time. To add signatures of more than 10 protocols, repeat this command.


# Configure protocols HTTP and SMTP in IPS signature filter hello as the filtering conditions in intrusion prevention profile profile1.
