Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

For multi-link accounting users, each link corresponds to different values of the RADIUS attribute Acct-Session-Id, but all links correspond to the same value of the RADIUS attribute Acct-Multi-Session-Id. After the roaming accounting function is enabled for users using the authentication roam-accounting enable command, users' accounting session IDs are carried in the RADIUS attribute Acct-Session-Id. However, if the Acct-Session-Id changes, the server performs accounting again. To resolve this problem, you can run the authentication roam-accounting update-session-mode command to configure the accounting session update mode during roaming accounting. After this command is configured, user accounting packets carry the RADIUS attribute Acct-Multi-Session-Id. During roaming accounting, the RADIUS attribute Acct-Multi-Session-Id is used to identify users.

Precautions

This function takes effect only after the roaming accounting function is enabled for users using the authentication roam-accounting enable command.
