remark 8021p (QoS profile view)

The remark 8021p command configures the action of re-marking 802.1p priorities of VLAN-tagged packets in a QoS profile.

The undo remark 8021p command deletes the action of re-marking 802.1p priorities of VLAN-tagged packets in a QoS profile.

By default, the action of re-marking 802.1p priorities of VLAN-tagged packets is not configured in a QoS profile.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To provide differentiated services based on 802.1p priorities of packets, run the remark 8021p command to remark the 802.1p priorities of the packets.

Follow-up Procedure

Run the qos-profile (user group view) command in the user group view to bind the QoS profile in which the action of remarking 802.1p priorities of packets is configured to a user group.

After the re-marking action is applied to the outbound direction of the device, the device processes outgoing packets based on the original priority but the downstream Layer 2 device processes the packets based on the re-marked priority.

If you run the remark 8021p command repeatedly in the same QoS profile view, only the latest configuration takes effect.
