Function

The traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression disable command disables global rate limit for multicast and broadcast packets on an AP.

The undo traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression disable command enables global rate limit for multicast and broadcast packets on an AP.

By default, global rate limit for multicast and broadcast packets is enabled on an AP.

The AD9431DN-24X does not support this function.

Format

traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression { all | arp | dhcp | dhcpv6 | igmp | mdns | nd | other-broadcast | other-multicast } disable

undo traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression { all | arp | dhcp | dhcpv6 | igmp | mdns | nd | other-broadcast | other-multicast } disable

Usage Guidelines

When an AP receives an increasing number of multicast and broadcast packets, more network resources are occupied and services on the network are affected.

To ensure proper running of network services, you can run the undo traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression disable command to disable global rate limit for multicast and broadcast packets on the AP to limit the global rate of such packets within a proper range.

The default rate threshold is 256 pps. You can run the traffic-optimize broadcast-suppression rate-threshold (system view) command to set a global rate threshold of multicast and broadcast packets. The specified value will overwrite the default one.

Example

# Disable rate limit for ARP broadcast packets.
