Feature Limitations

  • A traffic policy that defines the redirection action can only be applied in the inbound direction.

  • In V200R006 and earlier versions, if traffic is redirected to an interface in Down state, traffic is dropped on the interface and cannot be switched to the original forwarding path.

  • In V200R007 and later versions, if traffic is redirected to an interface in Down state and forced is specified in the redirection command, traffic is dropped on the interface and cannot be switched to the original forwarding path. If forced is not specified, traffic is switched to the original forwarding path.

  • Transparent transmission of Layer 2 protocol packets can be implemented by a traffic policy that redirects traffic to a specified interface or one or more Eth-Trunks. X series cards do not support BPDU redirection, so these cards can only implement transparent transmission of BPDUs through BPDU tunneling.

  • The XGE interfaces connected the ET1D2IPS0S00, ET1D2FW00S00, ET1D2FW00S01, ET1D2FW00S02, or ACU2 card do not support redirection to multiple Eth-Trunks.
