Manually Switching Data Flows to the Other Link


When both the primary and backup links are working normally, you can manually switch data flows from the active link to the standby link or from the standby link to the active link.

Ensure the following conditions are met before performing a link switchover:

  • Both the master and slave interfaces exist and are in Up state.
  • The smart-link { lock | force } command has not been configured to lock data flows to the master or slave interface.

The smart-link manual switch command can be executed repeatedly in the Smart Link group view. Each time you run the command, a link switchover is performed, causing millisecond-level packet loss.


  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run smart-link group group-id

    The Smart Link group view is displayed.

  3. Run smart-link manual switch

    Data flows are switched to the other interface.
