IP Routing Compatible Commands

bestroute as-path-neglect (upgrade-compatible command)

Function

Using the bestroute as-path-neglect command, you can configure BGP to ignore the AS_Path attribute when BGP selects the optimal route.

Using the undo bestroute as-path-neglect command, you can restore the default setting.

By default, BGP uses the AS_Path attribute to select the optimal route.

Format

bestroute as-path-neglect

undo bestroute as-path-neglect

Usage Guidelines

After this command is run, BGP does not compare the lengths of AS_Paths. By default, the AS_Path with the smallest length is preferred.

This command is available to aid upgrade compatibility. It can only be run during the configuration restoration phase of the upgrade.

# Configure BGP to ignore the AS_Path attribute when selecting the optimal route.

dampening (upgrade-compatible command)

Function

Using the dampening command, you can enable BGP route damping or modify the parameters of BGP route damping.

By default, route damping is disabled.

Format

dampening [ half-life-reach half-life-unreach reuse suppress ceiling | route-policy route-policy-name ] *

half-life-reach

Specifies the half life of a reachable route.

The value ranges from 1 to 45, in minutes. The default value is 15.

half-life-unreach

Specifies the half life of an unreachable route.

The value ranges from 1 to 45, in minutes. The default value is 15.

reuse

Specifies the unsuppression threshold of routes. When the penalty value becomes smaller than the unsuppression threshold, the routes can be used again.

The value ranges from 1 to 20000. The default value is 750.

suppress

Specifies the suppression threshold of routes. When the penalty value exceeds the suppression threshold, routes are suppressed.

The value ranges from 1 to 20000 and must be greater than the value of reuse. The default value is 2000.

ceiling

Specifies the upper limit of the penalty value.

The value ranges from 1001 to 20000 and must be greater than the value of suppress. The default value is 16000.

route-policy route-policy-name

Specifies the name of a routing policy.

The value is a string of 1 to 40 characters.

The command is applied to EBGP routes.

This command is available to aid upgrade compatibility. It can only be run during the configuration restoration phase of the upgrade.

display rm ipv6 interface (upgrade-compatible command)

Function

Using the display rm ipv6 interface command, you can view IPv6 VPN instance RM information of interfaces, including physical and logical interfaces.

Format

display rm ipv6 interface vpn6-instance vpn6-instance-name [ interface-type interface-number ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
vpn6-instance vpn6-instance-name Specifies the name of an IPv6 VPN instance. It is case-sensitive.
ipv6-address ipv6-address Displays IPv6 RM information with the specified destination IPv6 address. The value is a 32-digit hexadecimal number, in the X:X:X:X:X:X:X:X format.

ipv4 field dport (upgrade-compatible command)

Function

The ipv4 field dport command sets the load balancing mode of IPv4 packets to dport in an ECMP profile.

The undo ipv4 field dport command deletes the load balancing mode of IPv4 packets or restores the default load balancing mode of IPv4 packets.
