Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If APs cannot access the AC through an X series interface card, add the X series interface card and non-X series interface cards into the same WLAN work group so that the APs can access the AC through the non-X series interface card and the AC can manage the APs normally.

Interface cards on the AC automatically join the default WLAN work group. Therefore, the centralized AC function can still be implemented when no WLAN work group is configured on the AC. If more than two X series interface cards exist on the AC, the first detected card is regarded as the master and the second as the slave. You are advised to configure a WLAN work group and add redundant X series interface cards to the WLAN work group to implement the centralized AC function, which improves resource usage efficiency and enables more traffic transmitting.

A WLAN work group contains at least one X series interface card and one non-X series interface card.

Before deleting a WLAN work group, run the state block command to set the WLAN work group in block state. After that, run the ap-reset work-group and cut access-user work-group commands to force APs and STAs offline.
