EFM/3/INVALID_ORGSPECIFICINFOTLV

Message

EFM/3/INVALID_ORGSPECIFICINFOTLV:Remote Organization Specific Information TLV was invalid. (InterfaceName=[STRING], ErrCode=[ULONG], TLVLength=[ULONG], RemoteState=[ULONG])

Description

The specific TLV of the manufacturer was invalid.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

InterfaceName

Indicates the name of an interface.

ErrCode

Indicates the error code.

TLVLength

Indicates the length of the TLV.

RemoteState

Indicates the master/slave status of the peer device.

Possible Causes

EFM OAM resolved the specific TLV of the manufacturer and found it invalid.

Procedure

  1. Confirm the type of the error code.

    • If the error code is 1, it indicates that the organization TLV length is invalid.

    • If the error code is 2, it indicates that the organization TLV value is invalid.

  2. Query the configuration of the remote wireless equipment and consult the part describing EFM in the troubleshooting guide.
  3. Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

EFM/2/NONTHRESHOLD

Message

EFM/2/NONTHRESHOLD:Non-threshold-crossing event occurred. (InterfaceName=[STRING], EventLogIndex=[GAUGE], EventLogTimestamp=[TIMETICK], EventLogOui=[OPAQUE], EventLogType=[GAUGE], EventLogLocation=[INTEGER], EventLogRunningTotal=[COUNTER64])

Description

The non-threshold-crossing event occurred on the EOAM 3AH module.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
InterfaceName Indicates the name of an interface.
EventLogIndex Indicates the index of an event.
EventLogTimestamp Indicates the time when the event occurs.
EventLogOui Indicates the unique identifier of a manufacturer.
EventLogType Indicates the log type.
  • 254 indicates the timeout.
  • 256 indicates that the local interface is shut down.
  • 257 indicates the DyingGasp event.
  • 258 indicates the CriticalLink event.
EventLogLocation Indicates the location (1 indicates local end, 2 indicates peer end) of the event.
EventLogRunningTotal Indicates the total of non-threshold-crossing events after the OAM is reset.

Possible Causes

The non-threshold-crossing event was detected.

Procedure

  1. An abnormality occurs on the local end or the peer end.

EFM/6/REMOTE_STATE_CHANGED

Message

EFM/6/REMOTE_STATE_CHANGED:Remote equipment's state changed from [State1] to [State2]. (InterfaceName=[STRING])

Description

The status of the peer device was changed from master to slave or from slave to master.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
State1 Indicates the original master/slave status of the peer device:

171: Indicates the peer device is in the master state.

186: Indicates the peer device is in the slave state.

0: Indicates that packets from the peer device do not carry information about the master/slave status, or the master/slave status cannot be obtained.

State2 Indicates the current master/slave status of the peer device:

171: indicates the peer device is in the master state.

186: indicates the peer device is in the slave state.

0: indicates that packets from the peer device do not carry information about the master/slave status, or the master/slave status cannot be obtained.

InterfaceName Indicates the interface name.

Possible Causes

1. The status of the peer device was changed from master to slave or from slave to master.

2. The peer device changed from lacking of master/slave information to taking master/slave information.

3. The master/slave status of the peer device could not be obtained owing to link faults.

Procedure

  1. This log message is informational only, and no action is required.

EFM/3/THRESHOLD

Message

EFM/3/THRESHOLD:Threshold-crossing event occurred. (InterfaceName=[STRING], EventLogIndex=[GAUGE], EventLogTimestamp=[TIMETICK], EventLogOui=[OPAQUE], EventLogType=[GAUGE], EventLogLocation=[INTEGER], EventLogWindowHi=[GAUGE], EventLogWindowLo=[GAUGE], EventLogThresholdHi=[GAUGE], EventLogThresholdLo=[GAUGE], EventLogValue=[COUNTER64], EventLogRunningTotal=[COUNTER64], EventLogEventTotal=[GAUGE])

Description

The threshold-crossing event occurred on the EOAM 3AH module.

EventLogLocation Indicates the location (1 indicates local end, 2 indicates peer end) of the event.
EventLogWindowHi Indicates the higher 4-byte interval.
EventLogWindowLo Indicates the lower 4-byte interval.
EventLogThresholdHi Indicates the higher 4-byte threshold.
EventLogThresholdLo Indicates the lower 4-byte threshold.
EventLogValue Indicates the number of errors within the interval (error frames or error codes).
EventLogRunningTotal Indicates the total number of errors after OAM is reset.
EventLogEventTotal Indicates the total number of threshold-crossing events after OAM is reset.

Possible Causes

The events of error frames, error frame seconds, and error codes were detected. The number of link faults reached the set threshold within the set interval.

Procedure

  1. Check the link and the environment, and analyze the cause of excessive error frames and error codes.

EFM/4/TRIGGERIFNET

Message

EFM/4/TRIGGERIFNET:EFM trigger interface. (InterfaceName=[STRING], Result=[INTEGER])

Description

The service of interface was blocked by the EOAM 3AH module.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
InterfaceName Indicates the name of an interface.
Result Indicates the Status of fault. The detailed information is as followings:
  • Trigger interface up means fault recovery

  • Trigger interface down means fault occurrence

Possible Causes

The interface service block function of 802.3AH was configured, and 802.3AH sense the fault.

Procedure

  1. Check the configurations at both ends of the link.
