An interface (not the first added interface) and its subsequent interfaces failed to be added to an Eth-Trunk interface.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
TrunkName Eth-Trunk interface name
InterfaceName Name of the first interface failed to be added to an Eth-Trunk interface

Possible Causes

Configurations existed on the interface that failed to be added to an Eth-Trunk interface.

Procedure

  • Clear the configurations from the interface failed to be added to the Eth-Trunk interface and re-add it to the Eth-Trunk interface.

TRUNK/5/BACKSTATE_CHANGE

Message

TRUNK/5/BACKSTATE_CHANGE:The working status of the backup trunk changed. (TrunkName=[STRING], Status=[ULONG])

Description

Status of the trunk (master or backup) in manual 1:1 master/backup mode changed.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
TrunkName Name of the trunk interface
Status Status of the trunk (master or backup)

Possible Causes

1.

The main interface for forwarding data was shut down in manual 1:1 master/backup mode.

2.

The main interface for forwarding data exited the trunk in manual 1:1 master/backup mode.

3.

The backup interface for forwarding data was shut down in manual 1:1 master/backup mode.

4.

The backup interface for forwarding data exited the trunk in manual 1:1 master/backup mode.

5.

The protect-switch command was run in manual 1:1 master/backup mode to switch the active interface and inactive interface of the trunk.

Procedure

  1. When the working status of the trunk in manual 1:1 master/backup mode goes Master or Backup, the displayed log message indicates a normal situation, and no action is required.
  2. When the working status of the trunk in manual 1:1 master/backup mode goes Initial, check status the trunk member interfaces.

    • If the two member interfaces in manual 1:1 master/backup mode are backup interfaces in the Up state, configure one of the interfaces as the port-master.

    • If the two member interfaces in manual 1:1 master/backup mode are in the Down state, check whether the two member interfaces and their corresponding interface on the peer device are shut down. If yes, run the undo shutdown command on the interfaces. If not, the link is faulty and you need to replace the cable connecting to the interface.

    • If there is only one member interface in manual 1:1 master/backup mode and the member interface is a backup interface in the Up state, configure the interface as the port-master.

    • If there is only one member interface in manual 1:1 master/backup mode and the member interface is a master interface in the Down state, check whether the interface and its corresponding interface on the peer device are shut down. If yes, run the undo shutdown command on the interfaces. If not, the link is faulty and you need to replace the cable connecting to the interface.

Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

TRUNK/5/MEMBER_DOWN

Message

TRUNK/5/MEMBER_DOWN:The status of the trunk member went Down. (TrunkName=[STRING], PortName=[STRING], Reason=[STRING])

Description

TrunkName indicates the name of a trunk interface.
PortName indicates the name of a member interface.
Reason Reason why a member interface went down.

Possible Causes

Cause:

The member interface goes Down.

Procedure

  1. Run the display this interface command in the interface view to check whether the link is normal.

    1. If so, go to Step 2.

    2. If the interface is in the Down state, check whether the physical connection is correct.

  2. Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

TRUNK/5/MEMBER_UP

Message

TRUNK/5/MEMBER_UP:The status of the trunk member went Up. (TrunkName=[STRING], PortName=[STRING])

Description

The status of member port is Up.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
TrunkName Indicates the name of a trunk interface.
PortName Indicates the name of a member interface.

Possible Causes

Cause:

The member interface goes Up.

Procedure

  1. This log message is informational only, and no action is required.

TRUNK/5/STAT_INACT_TO_ACT

Message

TRUNK/5/STAT_INACT_TO_ACT:The trunk port changed from inactive to active. (TrunkName=[STRING], PortName=[STRING])

Description

The member port changed from inactive to active.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
PortName indicates names of member ports.
TrunkName indicates the name of a trunk interface.

Possible Causes

The member port changed from inactive to active.

Procedure

  1. This log message is informational only, and no action is required.

TRUNK/5/STATE_CHANGE

Message

TRUNK/5/STATE_CHANGE: The working status of the Eth-Trunk in port-standby mode changed. (TrunkName=[STRING], Working port=[STRING], Status=[ULONG])

Description

The working status of an Eth-Trunk interface in inter-board interface standby mode was changed. For example, the interface for data forwarding was changed from the master member interface to the backup member interface.

Parameters
