NTP/4/LEAP_CHANGE:System leap changes from [leap1] to [leap2] after clock update.

Description

The leap second of the system changed after the system clock was updated.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
[leap1] Indicates the leap second of the system.
[leap2] Indicates the leap second of the system.

Possible Causes

1: The system had just selected the source reference clock.

2: The switchover of source reference clocks was performed during clock synchronization.

Procedure

  1. This log message is informational only, and no action is required.

NTP/4/PEER_MAX_ASSOC

Message

NTP/4/PEER_MAX_ASSOC:The number of peers exceeded the upper limit 128. (CurrentPeerNumber=[string])

Description

The number of peers reached the maximum value [CurrentPeerNumber].

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
CurrentPeerNumber Indicates the number of current peers.

Possible Causes

During peer establishment, the number of current sessions reached the maximum value [CurrentPeerNumber] that the system supports.

Procedure

  1. Control the number of the established peers to be within [CurrentPeerNumber].

NTP/4/PEER_SELE

Message

NTP/4/PEER_SELE:The peer selected by the system is [source-address].

Description

The IP address of the source reference clock selected by the system was displayed.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
[source-address] Indicates the IP address of the source reference clock selected by the system.

Possible Causes

1: The system had just selected the source reference clock.

2: The switchover of source reference clocks was performed during clock synchronization.

Procedure

  1. This log message is informational only, and no action is required.

NTP/4/REFCLK_EVENTS

Message

NTP/4/REFCLK_EVENTS:The reference clock is not sychronized. (ReferenceClockIpAddress=[string], EventDescription=[string], EventCode=[string])

Description

The local reference clock was not synchronized.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
ReferenceClockIpAddress indicates the IP address of the reference clock.
EventDescription indicates event description.
EventCode indicates an event code.

Possible Causes

The distance from the local reference clock to the superior reference clock was unreachable.

Procedure

  1. This log message is informational only, and no action is required.

NTP/4/SOURCE_LOST

Message

NTP/4/SOURCE_LOST:System synchronization source lost. (SourceAddress=[STRING], Reason=[STRING])

Description

The source reference clock was lost.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning
SourceAddress Indicates IP address of the source reference clock, whose synchronization is lost.
Reason Indicates the reason for the loss of source reference clock:
  • Unknown
  • Autokey configuration changed
  • NTP IPv4 service disabled
  • NTP IPv6 service disabled
  • Clock change detected
  • Authentication expected
  • Autokey failure
  • DENY/RSTR received
  • RATE received
  • CRPTO-NAK received
  • Authentication failure
  • Clock selection failed - No intersection
  • System peer change detected
  • Peer reachability lost
  • Source address change detected. Autokey dance restarted
  • Reference clock unreachable
  • Peer clock unsynchronized/unselectable
  • Stratum increase detected
  • Clock selection failed - No selectable clock
  • Clock selection failed - Too many false tickers
  • Broadcast client's interface unavailable
  • Broadcast client's interface VPN changed
  • Authentication configuration changed
  • IPv6 service disabled
  • Source interface unavailable
  • VPN change detected
  • Manycast discovery restarted
  • Configuration changed
  • Manycast parent deleted

Possible Causes

This log message was generated when the current source reference clock was lost because of some reasons and no candidate reference clock can be found.

Procedure

  1. Check whether the network is normal.
  2. Run the display ntp-service sessions command to check whether candidate reference clocks exist.
    1. If candidate reference clocks exist, perform Step 3.
    2. If candidate reference clocks do not exist, run the ntp-service unicast-peer ip-address command or the ntp-service unicast-server ip-address command to configure the source reference clock.
  3. Run the display ntp-service status command to check whether the server status is stable.
    1. If the server status is stable, perform Step 4.
    2. If the server status is unstable, perform Step 5.
  4. Run the display clock command to check whether the system clock is normal.
    1. If the clock of the hardware is normal, perform Step 6.
    2. If the clock of the hardware is abnormal, perform Step 5.
  5. Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
  6. End.

NTP/4/STEP_GET_TIME

Message
