Functions Overview

HUAWEI-MAC-AUTHEN-MIB is used to complete the configuration of MAC address authentication to implement related functions of this protocol.

  • 1: macAddressWithoutHyphen: A user name is a MAC address that does not contain hyphens (-), for example, 0005e01c02e3.
  • 2: macAddressWithHyphen: A user name is a MAC address that contains hyphens (-) and the hyphens are inserted between every four digits, for example, 0005-e01c-02e3.
  • 3: fixed: The user name is fixed.
  • 4: option82: The content of the Option82 field is used as the user name.
  • 5: macAddressWithHyphenNormal: A user name is a MAC address that contains hyphens (-) and the hyphens are inserted between every two digits, for example, 00-05-e0-1c-02-e3.
  • 6: macAddressWithoutHyphenUpper: A user name is a MAC address in the uppercase format that does not contain hyphens (-), for example, 0005E01C02E3.
  • 7: macAddressWithHyphenUpper: A user name is a MAC address in the uppercase format that contains hyphens (-) and the hyphens are inserted between every four digits, for example, 0005-E01C-02E3.
  • 8: macAddressWithHyphenNormalUpper: A user name is a MAC address in the uppercase format that contains hyphens (-) and the hyphens are inserted between every two digits, for example, 00-05-E0-1C-02-E3.
  • 9: fixedUpper: The user name is fixed and in the uppercase format.
  • 10: macAddressWithHyphenColon: A user name is a MAC address that contains colons (:) and the colons are inserted between every four digits, for example, 0005:e01c:02e3.
  • 11: macAddressWithHyphenNormalColon: A user name is a MAC address that contains colons (:) and the colons are inserted between every two digits, for example, 00:05:e0:1c:02:e3.
  • 12: macAddressWithHyphenColonUpper: A user name is a MAC address in the uppercase format that contains colons (:) and the colons are inserted between every four digits, for example, 0005:E01C:02E3.
  • 13: macAddressWithHyphenNormalColonUpper: A user name is a MAC address in the uppercase format that contains colons (:) and the colons are inserted between every two digits, for example, 00:05:E0:1C:02:E3.
By default, the value is macAddressWithoutHyphen.

NOTE:
  • The password for MAC address authentication in fixed user name mode can be in plain text or cipher text. The value is a string of 1 to 16 characters. When the cipher text is used, the length of the password is 24 characters.
  • When using the fixed user name and password, you must set fixed, hwMacAuthenPassword, hwMacAuthenUsername, and hwMacAuthenPwdType in hwMacAuthenmodeUsername.

Only the Get operation is supported, but Set operation is not supported. The return value of Get operation is ******.
