HUAWEI-LLDP-MIB

HUAWEI-LLDP-MIB

Functions Overview

HUAWEI-LLDP-MIB is an extension of the public LLDP-MIB. It provides the following functions:

  • Configuring whether to enable or disable the LLDP protocol globally

  • Configuring the management IP address of the NMS

  • Clearing the statistics information of LLDP packets sent and received

  • Enabling or Disabling the function of globally giving an alarm

  • Realizing the topology of a local device

  • Giving an alarm to the NMS when the IP address of the NMS is changed

The root object is:

iso(1).org(3).dod(6).internet(1).private(4).enterprises(1).huawei(2011).huaweiMgmt(5).hwDatacomm(25).hwLldpMIB(134)

Relationship Between Tables

The index of the hwLldpPortConfigTable is lldpPortConfigPortNum, index of the lldpPortConfigTable in the LLDP-MIB.

This object indicates whether LLDP is enabled globally. This value can be:
  • 1: LLDP is enabled.
  • 2: LLDP is disabled.

hwLldpLocManIPAddr

IpAddress

Read-write

This object specifies the management IP address of a local device. A management IP address is contained in the management address TLV of a LLDP packet. It is used for the NMS to identify a device and manage the network. The management IP address configured must be legal. It must be an IP address in the IP address chain table. If the IP address of a specified interface is illegal or the management IP address is not configured, an IP address found from the system will serve as the management IP address, by default. The system searches an IP address in such a sequence: loopback interface, management network interface, VLANIF port, and IP address chain table. The smallest IP address is used. If the default IP address is not found, the bridge MAC of the system will be used.

This object is implemented as defined in the corresponding MIB files.
