Application Scenarios for Synchronous Ethernet

In Figure 13-13, devices on the IP network are connected to each other, and clock synchronization needs to be implemented between upstream and downstream devices.

To ensure reliability on the clock synchronization network, Device1 and Device4 import clock signals. Device2 can synchronize the clock signals transmitted by the core switch through Ethernet streams. During network deployment, each device preferentially traces the clock signals sent from Device1. If the clock source connected to Device1 is faulty, devices trace the clock signals sent from Device4.
