Enabling and Disabling Stacking
On the S5700EI or S5700SI, run the stack enable or undo stack enable command in the system view to enable or disable stacking. Enabling or disabling stacking takes effect after the switch restarts.
On stacking-supporting switches except S5700EI or S5700SI, the stacking function is enabled by default and can be disabled the
stacking function using either of the following methods:
- Method 1: Run the stack enable or undo stack enable command in the diagnostic view to enable
or disable the stacking function. Enabling or disabling the stacking
function takes effect after the switch restarts.

- Method 2: When diagnostic commands cannot be executed, delete stack ports or remove stack cables to disable the stacking function. For details about how to delete stack ports, see Deleting a Stack Member Port.
