Clearing Stack Configuration

Clearing Stack Configuration

Procedure (Versions Later Than V200R002)

Run the reset stack configuration command to clear all stack configurations. The configuration includes: switch slot ID, stack priority, stack reserved VLAN, stack MAC address switching delay, stack port configuration, and stack port rate configuration. For example:
<HUAWEI> system-view
[HUAWEI] reset stack configuration
Warning: This operation will clear all stack configurations and may lead to the loss of the slot ID configuration and cause the device to reset immediately. Are you sure you want to continue? [Y/N]:y

Running this command will cause the stack to split and member switches to restart.

Procedure (V200R002 and Earlier Versions)

The reset stack configuration command is not supported. You need to clear the specific stack configuration, for example, the stack priority, using a specific command. The command configuration takes effect after the device restarts.

  • Restore the default stack priority.
    <HUAWEI> system-view
[HUAWEI] stack slot 2 priority 100 //Restore the default priority 100 for slot 2.
  • Restore the default slot ID.
    <HUAWEI> system-view
[HUAWEI] stack slot 2 renumber 0 //Change the slot ID to 0.
  • Restore the default stack reserved VLAN.
    <HUAWEI> system-view
[HUAWEI] stack reserved-vlan 4093 //Restore the default stack reserved VLAN 4093.
  • Restore the default stack MAC address switching delay.
    <HUAWEI> system-view
[HUAWEI] undo stack timer mac-address switch-delay
  • Delete a stack member port.
