Setting CFM Parameters

Setting CFM Parameters

Context

By adjusting Ethernet CFM parameters, you can better implement end-to-end connectivity fault detection on the Ethernet.

Procedure

  • Setting the RMEP activation time

    1. Run system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run cfm md md-name

      The MD view is displayed.

    3. Run ma ma-name

      The MA view is displayed.

    4. Run active time time

The RMEP activation time is configured.

      NOTE:

IEEE 802.1ag has two versions: IEEE 802.1ag Draft 7 and IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007. This command can be used only on the device running IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007. Before setting the RMEP activation time, you must use the cfm version command to set the Ethernet CFM version to IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007.

  • Setting the anti-jitter time during alarm restoration

    1. Run system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run cfm md md-name

      The MD view is displayed.

    3. Run ma ma-name

      The MA view is displayed.

    4. Run alarm finish time time

The anti-jitter time during alarm restoration is configured.

Before setting the anti-jitter time during alarm restoration, you must use the cfm version command to set the Ethernet CFM version to IEEE Standard 802.1ag-2007.

  • Setting the anti-jitter time during alarm generation

    1. Run system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run cfm md md-name

      The MD view is displayed.

    3. Run ma ma-name

      The MA view is displayed.

    4. Run alarm occur time time

The anti-jitter time during alarm generation is configured.
