How Can I Specify the Master Switch?

How Can I Specify the Master Switch?

After you connect cluster cables between two member switches to set up a CSS, set a higher CSS priority for the switch that you want to specify as the master switch and enable the CSS function on it first. This ensures that this switch is elected as the master switch.

If you want the other switch in the running CSS to be the master switch, run the slave switchover command to perform a master/standby switchover if the previous master switch has two MPUs. If the previous master switch has only one MPU, power off the switch, and power it on after the standby switch becomes the new master switch. If you specify a new master switch when the CSS is running, services will be interrupted.
