Powering On or Off a Card

Powering On or Off a Card


When a card is idle, you can power off the card to conserve energy without affecting services. You can also power on a specified card if service volume increases.


The active MPUs cannot be powered on or off using commands.


  1. (Optional) Run display device [ slot slot-id ]

    The card status is displayed.

  2. Power on or off a specified card.

    • Run power on slot slot-id

      The specified card is powered on.

    • Run power off slot slot-id

      The specified card is powered off.
