Setting the Delay Time Before Service Ports Restore to the Up State

Setting the Delay Time Before Service Ports Restore to the Up State

Context

After the standby switch restarts, it synchronizes its configuration with the master switch and restores all ports to the Up state. In the process, the CPU usage is very high. To prevent service interruptions caused by a high CPU usage, set the delay time before service ports restore to the Up state.

Procedure

  1. Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
  2. Run the css standby port delay time command to set the delay time before service ports restore to the Up state.

By default, the delay time is 0. That is, the ports restore to the Up state immediately after the switch restarts.

Verifying the Configuration

  • Run the display current-configuration | include css command to view the delay time before service ports restore to the Up state.
