Collecting OIDS Database Files

Collecting OIDS Database Files

After the OIDS function is enabled, the switch saves the collected data and fault diagnosis results to database files on the active MPU. When you view OIDS data within a period of time, the switch reads and displays only the OIDS database files on the active MPU. For a dual-MPU or cluster switch, if an active/standby MPU switchover has been performed before you view OIDS data within a certain period of time, the OIDS database files used before the switchover are stored on the current standby MPU. In this case, you need to save the OIDS database files on the standby MPU to the active MPU, and then view OIDS data in the files. Otherwise, you may view incomplete OIDS data.

The contents of OIDS database files cannot be manually modified.

  1. Run the system-view command to enter the system view.
  2. Run the collect oids database file to system-master command to save OIDS database files to the active MPU.
