(Optional) Enabling Direct ARP Entry Delivery

(Optional) Enabling Direct ARP Entry Delivery

The initial traffic between two local VPNs triggers ARP Miss messages and ARP learning. If a PE device fails to timely process the ARP Miss messages due to some reasons, mutual access traffic between the VPNs cannot be transmitted. This may occur if a card is inserted to the PE device. In this case, you can enable direct ARP entry delivery on a PE device to ensure normal traffic transmission between local VPNs.

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run arp vpn-cross enable

Direct ARP entry delivery is enabled for mutual access between local VPNs.
