Possible Causes

Procedure

  1. Check whether the clocks of the transmitting device and the receiving device are synchronized.

    • If the clocks of the two devices are synchronized, go to Step 3.

    • If the clocks of the two devices are not synchronized, go to Step 2.

  2. Perform clock synchronization between the two devices. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 6.

    • If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 5.

  3. Run the trace mac-8021ag command to check whether there is a long delay on the link or device on the network.

    • If there is a long delay, go to Step 4.

    • If there is no long delay, go to Step 5.

  4. Troubleshoot the fault of a long delay. Then, check whether the alarm is cleared.

    • If the alarm is cleared, go to Step 6.

    • If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 5.

  5. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
  6. End.

  3. Repeat step 2 to delete AIS VLAN configurations. Then check whether the trap is cleared. If the trap persists, go to step 4.
  4. Collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
  5. End.
