Viewing Backup Storage Pool Information

Viewing Backup Storage Pool Information

You can check the basic information and repository of a backup storage pool to monitor its status.

Prerequisites

A backup storage pool has been created on the storage system.

Context

On the backup storage pool management page, you can:

  • Click Refresh to refresh the information about backup storage pools.
  • Enter a key word in the upper right corner to search for the desired backup storage pool.
  • Click on the right side of the list and select the desired parameters of a backup storage pool.

Procedure

  1. Choose Data Protection > CloudBackup > Basic Settings > Backup Storage Pool.
  2. View the basic information of the backup storage pool. Table 3-1 describes the parameters.

Table 3-1 Backup storage pool parameters

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

Name of the backup storage pool.

    ID

ID of the backup storage pool.

    Access Status

Access status of the backup storage pool, which can be:

    • Fully accessible

All proxies of CloudBackup can access the backup storage pool.

    • Partially accessible

Some proxies of CloudBackup can access the backup storage pool.

    • Inaccessible

No proxy of CloudBackup can access the backup storage pool.

    • Checking

The backup storage pool is establishing connection with proxies.

    Current Total Capacity

Current total capacity of the backup storage pool.

    Free Capacity

Free capacity of the backup storage pool.

    Usage

Capacity usage of the backup storage pool. It is the ratio of the used capacity to the total capacity of the backup storage pool.

    Alarm Threshold

Alarm threshold for the capacity of the backup storage pool. When the capacity usage of the backup storage pool exceeds this threshold, an alarm is generated, prompting you to expand the capacity or delete unneeded backup data to release storage space. If the alarm is not cleared, subsequent backup tasks may fail.

    Offline Storage Unit Access Status

Access status of the offline storage unit, which can be:

    • Fully accessible

All proxies of CloudBackup can access the offline storage unit.

    • Partially accessible

Some proxies of CloudBackup can access the offline storage unit.

    • Inaccessible

No proxy of CloudBackup can access the offline storage unit.

    • Checking

The offline storage unit is establishing connection with proxies.

Total Capacity of Offline Storage Unit

Total capacity of the offline storage unit.

Free Capacity of Offline Storage Unit

Free capacity of the offline storage unit.

    Offline Storage Unit Usage

Capacity usage of the offline storage unit. It is the ratio of the used capacity to the total capacity of the offline storage unit.

  3. Select the backup storage pool and check its repository information in the lower part of the page. Table 3-2 describes the parameters.

    Table 3-2 Repository parameters

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

    Name of the repository.

    ID

    ID of the repository.

    Full Quota

Indicates whether full quota is enabled for the repository. If full quota is enabled, the repository uses all the free capacity of the backup storage pool. If this is disabled, the repository capacity must be specified manually.

    Total Capacity

    Total capacity of the repository.

    Free Capacity

    Free capacity of the repository.

    Usage

Capacity usage of the repository. It is the ratio of the used capacity to the total capacity of the repository.

    Alarm Threshold

Alarm threshold for the capacity of the repository. When the capacity usage of the repository exceeds this threshold, an alarm is generated, prompting you to expand the capacity or delete unneeded backup data to release storage space. If the alarm is not cleared, subsequent backup tasks may fail.
