(Optional) Creating a Proxy

You must create a proxy if the backup storage type is S3 and the enterprise's data center must use a proxy to access the external network.

Prerequisites

You have obtained the information about the proxy server.

Procedure

  1. Choose Data Protection > CloudBackup > Basic Settings > Proxy.
  2. Click Create.

    The Create Proxy dialog box is displayed.

  3. Set the proxy parameters listed in Table 2-5.

    Name

    Name of the proxy server.

    [Value range]

    • The name must be unique.
    • The name contains 1 to 31 characters.
    • The name can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), periods (.), hyphens (-), plus signs (+), and at signs (@).

    Address

    IP address or domain name of the proxy server.

    [Value range]

    • The domain name contains 1 to 255 characters.
    • The domain name can contain only letters, digits, periods (.), and hyphens (-), and must not start or end with a hyphen.

    Port

    Port number of the proxy server.

    [Value range]

    1 to 65535

    [Default value]

    80

    Username

    User name of the proxy server.

    [Value range]

    The user name contains 1 to 256 characters.

    Password

    Password of the proxy server.

    [Value range]

    The password contains 1 to 256 characters.

    Anonymous

    If you enable this function, you do not need to set the user name and password of the proxy server.

    [Default value]

    Disable

  4. Click OK.

    The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation is successful.

  5. Click Close.
