Deleting a Backup Storage Pool

Deleting a Backup Storage Pool

You can delete a backup storage pool when it is no longer needed.

Prerequisites

  • A backup storage pool has been created on the storage system.
  • The backup storage pool to be deleted has no repository.

Precautions

  • If the backup storage pool has repositories, ensure that these repositories are no longer needed and then delete them.
  • If the backup storage pool is associated with a backup plan and the Access Status of the backup storage pool is Inaccessible, neither the backup storage pool nor the backup plan can be deleted. If the backup storage pool cannot be repaired, run the delete cloudbackup backup_storage_pool id=? force=true command in developer mode to forcibly delete the backup storage pool. The repository and backup plan associated with the backup storage pool will also be deleted. For the value of id in this command, see Viewing Backup Storage Pool Information.

Procedure

  1. Choose Data Protection > CloudBackup > Basic Settings > Backup Storage Pool.
  2. Select the backup storage pool you want to delete and click Delete.

The Danger dialog box is displayed.

  3. Confirm the information in the dialog box and select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation. Then click OK.

The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation is successful.

  4. Click Close.
