Deleting a Backup Image

Deleting a Backup Image

This operation allows you to delete unneeded backup images to release storage space.

A backup image has been generated in the system.

Deletion tasks are queued up after creation and executed in sequential order.

  • Ensure that the backup image that you want to delete will not be used to restore data.
  • Ensure that there are no unfinished restoration tasks associated with the backup image.
  • If the backup image generated by the latest backup task is deleted, full backup will be performed for the next task.

  1. Choose Data Protection > CloudBackup > Backup and Restoration > Backup Image and Restoration.
  2. Select the desired backup image and click Delete.

The Danger dialog box is displayed.

  3. Confirm the information in the dialog box and select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation. Then click OK.

The Execution Result dialog box is displayed. You can choose Data Protection > CloudBackup > Task Monitoring to query the task progress.

  4. Click Close.
