Stopping Splitting a Clone File System

If services are not running properly after clone file system splitting is started, you can stop the splitting any time to relieve the load on the storage system.


You can stop splitting a clone file system when the following conditions are met: Health Status and Running Status of the clone file system are Normal and Online respectively, and Split Status of the clone file system is Queuing, Splitting or Abnormal end.


  1. Go to the user interface of clone file systems in vStore.

    The operation path varies with user types:

    • System user: Click vStore, select the desired vStore, and click Details to go to the vStore view. Choose Data Protection > Clone.
    • vStore user: In the vStore view, choose Data Protection > Clone.

  2. Select a clone file system you want to stop splitting.

    1. In the left file system tree, select the parent file system of the clone file system you want to stop splitting.
    2. On the right, select the clone file system you want to stop splitting.

      In a storage system, you can concurrently stop splitting multiple clone file systems.

  3. Stop splitting the clone file system.

    1. Click Stop Split.

      You can also right-click the clone file system and choose Stop Split from the shortcut menu.

      The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation is successful.

    2. Click Close.
