Managing Backup Copies

Managing Backup Copies

This operation enables you to view or delete backup copies in the non-tenant scenario.

Viewing a Backup Copy

This operation allows you to view the information about a backup copy so that you can choose the correct copy when data recovery is required.

Prerequisites

A HyperVault pair has been created and at least one backup copy has been generated.

Procedure
  1. Choose Data Protection > HyperVault > HyperVault.
  2. Select the HyperVault pair and click the Backup Copy tab.
  3. Select the backup copy that you want to view and click Properties.

    The Backup Copy Properties dialog box is displayed.

  4. View the information about the backup copy.

    NOTE:

    For better management, you can set the customized field of backup copy in User-Defined Name. For example, the original name of the copy is HyperVault_Local_NA_Manual_20150918154046_991188, and if User-Defined Name is set as filesystem001, then the new name of the copy is HyperVault_Local_filesytem001_Manual_20150918154046_991188.

Deleting a Backup Copy

This operation allows you to delete a backup copy that is no longer needed.

Prerequisites

A HyperVault pair has been created and at least one backup copy has been generated.

Procedure
  1. Choose Data Protection > HyperVault > HyperVault.
  2. Select the HyperVault pair and click the Backup Copy tab.
  3. Select the backup copy that you want to delete and click Delete.

    The security alert dialog box is displayed.

  4. Confirm the information in the dialog box and select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation.

    The Execution Result dialog box is displayed.

    Click Close.
