Disk

On SystemReporter, you can view the historical performance view of disks. In addition, you can export and save the historical performance view to analyze performance indicators of disks.

Prerequisites

  • You have registered a device.
  • SystemReporter has been monitoring devices for a time period and produced the monitored data.

Procedure

  1. Go to the page of performance monitoring view of an object.
    1. On the menu bar, click Monitoring.
    2. In the left navigation tree, choose Device model > Device name(XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX) > Disk.

      NOTE:

Device model, Device name, and XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX indicate the model, name, and IP address of the device that has been registered.

    3. In the function pane on the right, click Historical.
  2. Optional: From the Indicator Template drop-down list, select an indicator template.

    NOTE:
    • You can click Details after Indicator Template to view indicators of the current object type in this indicator template.
    • After you select a indicator template for a resource type, the system will only display the indicators supported by the resource type in the selected template.
    • If the resource type does not support any indicator in the selected template, the template is filtered and not displayed.

  3. Optional: From the statistical period drop-down list, select a statistical period.

    NOTE:

If Custom is selected, set the start time and end time for the historical performance view. The start time cannot be earlier than 1 year before.

  4. From the Display Rules drop-down list, select objects that you want to display.

    NOTE:
    • The display rules include Top 5, Top 10, Top 16, Bottom 5, Bottom 10, Bottom 16 and Custom.
    • If the display rule is Top 5, Top 10, Top 16, Bottom 5, Bottom 10, or Bottom 16, the color of the same object varies on different performance indicator charts, because the colors before objects are used to represent the sequence of object indicators, but not to represent specific objects. If you want to use the same color for an object in different performance indicator charts, you can customize a method to query performance data.

  5. Optional: Customize display items.
    1. Click after Display Rules.

The Customize Display Items dialog box is displayed.

      NOTE:

Click . The latest object information is displayed.

    2. In the available object area, select the objects that you want to display and click .
    3. Click OK.
  6. In the function pane on the right, check the indicator view.

    NOTE:
Indicator view: When the interval between two data collection points is triple (or more) that of the previous interval in the monitoring curve, the curve is disconnected. Monitor the status of new data collection points dynamically generated in real time. If the interval between a new data collection point and the previous one is equal to or greater than triple the value of the collection period, the curve is disconnected. When the interval between two data collection points is smaller than 15s, the curve keeps running. Data size of capacity specifications is 1min.
